Ashby Lumber
Ashby Lumber is a retail lumberyard serving the entire Bay Area from stores in Berkeley and Concord. Thomas P. Hogan Sr. founded Hogan Lumber in 1888. The offices and yard were located between First and Second at Alice Street in Oakland. We have a team of employees who are genuinely helpful and interested which in turn has helped us to prosper in an era of box retailing. We focus on customer service but we also offer competitive pricing, broad selection, and quality materials. The efficiency of our services is proved by the number of customers coming back after trying our services. At Ashby Lumber you can talk to contractors and homeowners for everything from foundation materials to finish products. The services that we provide are as follows:
- Delivery: We provide delivery services of framing material, decking, plumbing or doors & windows; we have the capability of delivering your order safely and on time. We have 13 types of vehicles ranging from flatbeds for large lumber orders, pickup trucks for smaller loads, box vans to keep fragile items safe, and 3 truck-mounted forklifts.
- Door and Window Showrooms: We provide services including replacement windows to entry door systems across a wide range of manufacturers, staffed by experts.
- Plumbing Showroom: We provide all types of plumbing material and equipment.

Truitt & White is one of the leading sources of high quality building materials, information and customer service. The reliance of our consistent, dependable partnerships with professional builders is a proof of our products and expert advice. Our expertise can be seen and judged by our numerous projects that we have delivered over the years. We have more than 70,000 square feet of lumberyard, hardware store, warehouse and showroom. We provide a yearly workshop series to our customers and give them a chance to learn new installation tips and techniques. Green building products and services are best energy and resource efficient.
